Tetralysal is an antibiotic. It belongs to a class of medicines called tetracycline antibiotics which fight bacteria. The main use of Tetralysal is to treat acne which usually appears in the form of whiteheads and blackheads. It fights other bacterial infections which include:

Do not use some medicines as they might affect your acne medicine. Some of them are medicines related to indigestion, ulcer healing drugs, high blood pressure, supplements, and contraceptives. Some of the side effects are:

One must consume Tetralysal capsules exactly as recommended by the doctor. Inform your doctor if you ever had problems associated with liver, or suffered from severe allergic conditions that lead to joint pain and muscle weakness. These capsules must be taken in prescribed dosages with water and must be swallowed as a whole. The usual dosage for chronic treatment of acne is 1 capsule daily for at least 8 weeks. For other infections, dosages are prescribed as per the severity of the infection. In the case of sexually transmitted diseases, both the partners must be treated. For older people, no specific dose adjustment is required. This medicine is not recommended for children below the age of 12. For children above 12 years of age, adult dosages are prescribed depending upon the severity of the infection. In case you take an overdose of Tetralysal, visit a nearby hospital and inform your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not take a double dose for the missed dosage. As acne responds slowly to the infection, it is recommended to take the entire dosage as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor informs you.
